Built in 13th centuary. It is designated as a National treasure of Japan.
Nagano is in the mountain region in the central part of Japan and has peaceful quiet old historical buildings (temples,shirines,etc) surrounded by beautiful nature and not many tourists visit here as it has not so combinient access. But if you want to see the real Japan (Nature and History) ,this is one of the places you should go to.
